A brief bit about Us
Celebrating 40 years of Lymm Dickensian, our site shares the history, stories, a welcome to all for our food and craft stalls, and most of all a community spirit to enjoy a warm gathering for festive fun.
Join us between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 13th December 2025.
An amazing choice of festive food and drink, along with arts and craft stalls and not forgetting Santa’s grotto for the little (and not so little) ones. Cheer on the Lymm runners dressed as Santa for the thrilling and fun Santa dash! All are welcome to come and enjoy every moment of this annual celebration.

Getting Here
By car
If travelling on the M6 to Lymm exit at Junction 21 or via the M56 exit at Junction 9. The village centre is signposted, although please be aware the centre of the village will be closed to traffic from 9am to 5pm Why not use the free park and ride service below.
FREE park and ride service
Visitors to this years’ Dickensian Day are able to take advantage of the hassle-free car parking facility located at Lymm High School, Oughtrington Lane, Lymm, Cheshire WA13 0BR.
Why not park up and enjoy a free ride on the vintage bus, which will be running round trips throughout the day between Lymm High School and the village centre. The service will run from 10am till 5pm. Please note the High School gates will be locked at 5pm.
On Dickensian Day, people living in the vicinity of the Lymm High School are also welcome to use the free bus service.
Car parks: There are a number of car parks available in Lymm. Parking fees apply at some of the locations and not all cark parks will be available on Dickensian Day.
If you are travelling by car it is advisable to get to Lymm early and where possible use the park and ride service mentioned above.
The village centre is closed to traffic from 9am to 5pm, during the grand parade
By train
The nearest train stations to Lymm are Warrington, Altrincham and Irlam. For information on how to plan your journey, please visit national rail’s website.
By bus
Lymm is accessible by bus between Warrington and Altrincham (via Thelwall and Warburton). For more information on the Cat5 bus route, visit Warrington’s Own Buses.
