Our Story

Come and join us in your best Victorian attire and enjoy the magic of the day.

Lymm Dickensian has celebrated community spirit and festive fun for 40 magical years.

Started in 1985 by the late Monica Spence, Lymm Dickensian is organised and run by a small group of dedicated and hard-working volunteers, with support from the local council and traders.

The Victorian festival attracts thousands of visitors to the village, who come for the warm and friendly atmosphere along with a great variety of stalls [link to stalls] and displays which continues to grow, attracting new stalls and entertainment each year.

It is supported financially by Lymm Parish Council. Other supporters include local traders, schools, societies, Lymm Festivities Group, without whom it would not be possible to hold the event. We would like to thank them for their continued support.
